Michael Scott Drinnon

- Savannah - Michael Scott Drinnon, died September 19, 2009. Mike loved all types of music and was an accomplished guitar, mandolin, and banjo player and singer. He sang with the National Youth Choir in New York. Mike's other love was travel. He criss-crossed the United States several times following his beloved music concerts. He will be remembered by his family as a sweet, thoughtful child and a gentle soul. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James R. and Mildred Sakamoto Drinnon.

Surviving are his parents, James R. and Elizabeth Locke Drinnon of Savannah;brothers, James Aileen Drinnon of Jacksonville, FL; Steven Jennifer Drinnon of Montgomery, AL; Bruce D.G. Drinnon, Jacob Drinnon and sister, Jaycie Drinnon all of Savannah; maternal grandparents, Bruce W. and Jacqueline Gilliam Locke of Williamsburg, VA; aunts and uncles, Alice Locke and James Dean Dorsett of Powhatan, VA; Susan Drinnon and Matthew Morris of Oxford, GA; three nieces, and his fiancée, Kayla Weaver of Tybee Island.

A memorial service will be held for Mike, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2009 at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 51 Wilmington Island Rd.

Remembrances: The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in his memory to the Brick Fund at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 51 Wilmington Island Rd., Savannah, GA 31410.
